I believe if this game can reach 500k, Capcom will advertise Z&W2 more heavily. I can see Z&W2 become a million seller with the right advertising.

Way to go Europe! Looks like we'll finally start to see some great sales for Z&W. I think 300,000 is a certainly now, as well as a sequel. I'm going to predict this game will reach 400,000 by the end of the year with possible lifetime sales of 500,000 or higher depending if a sequel comes out to boost it further.

its not as if theyll have trouble printing the extra PAL discs to ship to aus at the same time as europe...

If total Z & W sales do reach 300k it would prompt Capcom into making Z & W 2 considering the most expensive part of the process (creating a new universe and establishing a new brand) has already been taken care of.

All in all I thinl Z & W will do 500k worlwide by december 31st, 2008 thanks to a lower price and an August re-release.

This game could maybe go as high as 400 k WW in 6 months from now.
That would be a nice number given the caracteristics of the game and the lack of advertising

As long as it sells 5,000 units a week this year, it'll hit 400,000 units (130,000 now, + 50 * 5,000 = 400,000), course it might fall off the charts, then we'll have to wait for shipment numbers. but that might be too optimistic

SleepWaking posted 21/01/2008, 12:05
I still hope it can eclipse the 250.000 sold (not te retailers). I think Capcom would really be happy. although they already are, I mean Z&W2 is confirmed isn't it?

Somebody already tried doing a "Buy Zack and Wiki Campaign", but it obviously didn't work so great. Probably because it was web-based, and most gamers aren't exactly frequenters of gaming sites. Really, the best you can do is word-of-mouth. Both online and off. It worked for Katamari Damacy, it may well work for Z&W too.

(I was wondering, I bought this game at a store called Fry's Electronics. I was wondering, and this might sound dumb, does my purchase count if I didn't buy the game at Gamespot/Wal-Mart/ToyRus/etc.?)

Capcom gave their releaselist to stores in America yesterday.
4 new games were named.
Including Zack and Wiki 2... ...
So start gettin' excited! (And yes Neos, Januari 8th, when Zack and Wikiis released in the EU, we will turn it into a profit ...)

I guess it only needs like 150k Ww to make a profit... Which it's gonna top!
I guess 300k wouldn't be bad!

@ Montana - outside of IGN and a few other sites, this game didn't have hype even on the internet. In fact that's why sites like IGN were plugging it so hard. Because they knew there was so little hype out there.

Infact, despite the game being out for 3 weeks and getting absolutely rave reviews from the sites that cover it, the game still doesn't even have 20 reviews on Gamerankings. This game's sales proves that the Internet needs to get it's ass in gear and help sell this amazing game!

You are definately not half way through. Each puzzle gets significantly harder and longer as they go. I actually used platinum tickets on the Fire boss level! Of course, it was a huge huge huge mistake. But I can't take that back now.

JMan posted 01/11/2007, 06:23
If you like puzzle games, this is definitely fun and challenging. It is also very humorous. It is not action oriented, although there are several puzzles throughout the game that require you to be in certain places at certain times. We play this together as a family, with one person controlling and the others in the family suggesting things to do by pointing with their remotes and drawing on the screen, like a telestrator.

Budget priced make this game all the more appealing. The box claims 30 hours of gameplay. I'm at 9, I think about halfway through, but stuck. I can see several areas of replay value within the game (other challenges in the levels that get unlocked when you complete it), so 30 hours is probably about right.
