Too bad its overtracked. IGN says 230K in the US through December according to NPD. http://wii.ign.com/articles/947/947929p1.html With Canada, an extra week of sales, and giving some credit to VGC that maybe NPD undertracked, it still should come down to around 300K, give or take. It should still be a Gold seller WW, and the IGN article mentions that De Blob will continue as a series... Message | Report |

They have tracked Japan sales for some weeks now, probably even more than month by now, but it's got it's own separate page that needs to be combined. But it's not like it matters though it's only sold like 2000 copies over there. Message | Report |

I'd say with the sales pickup this has had a million is not only possible but likely. Either way with the sales and praise this now has I think we can count on a sequal. De blob being a million seller isn't that hard to believe as long as the sales we are seeing right now are correct. It's looking at about 550k-750k by the end of the year. At either radical end, they both can leg it out in 2009 to go platinum. It's got a great chance. Message | Report |

I'm really happy about the sales of this game, specially because it's one of the games that makes the wii usefull in all of senses. The wiimote is perfect to play this game in a way that only wii gamers can do. No matter HD graphics, just great gameplay, isn't it? My preadiction is a great salesboost during Xmas, but, what happen in Japan? Actually seems to be the most difficult market in terms of sales!! :( Message | Report |

Ah I thank you all. At this rate I'm insured a sequel which just makes me so happy. What we are looking at is 65,000 this week. I'd say we'd keep a steady 50k-70k for the next 4 weeks which will put us at 550k-730k by the end of the holiday season. Then last week of the year about 30k so up the range. Either way this is a huge success story for this game and the developer most certainly deserves it. Message | Report |

Good to see this game selling well after the first week it certainly has rallied, 250,000 in a definite, maybe half a million if it can hold, If their is a character this year that has the appeal to become a company mascot it is De Blob. I wonder what Blue TOngue's next project is, hopefully TH*q lets them have the same amount or more freedom and funding as deblob. Well, it's great! Only played the 1st level but it's very charismatic, something I sadly don't say about enough non-Japanese games. Using the wiimote to jump feels weird at 1st, but started to feel more natural once I got my groove on, as it were. Good to say sales holding up. Let's aim for a million! Message | Report |

Title is selling better the longer its out haha. Curious case of de Blob eh. Right now it's looking like it'll level be at about 30k a week without holiday sales. But with increasing Wii shipments we could see that continously increase. My guesses though are that ioi could be right in about 500k sold by the end of the year. I mean never count out any game on the Wii during the Holidays ahah. It's the one time of the year where you can say its hard for a game with modest hype and brand to not do well at least with the case of Wii. Message | Report |

ioi- hhaa well it is holding well so you may be right. It really is going to depend if it has a "carnival games" like holiday season or games like that where they get recognition during that time and build up the brand. But I think its got a shot at gold by the end of the year. Message | Report |

I bought it yesterday, im glad i did. What really suprised me is how smooth and polished the game in general is. The interface, the gameplay, graphics, and extras are all really great. I saw a huge board at my Gamestop advertiseing de Blob, i think it will do well. Message | Report |

Gearbox this is not a simple mini game compilation. Its a very deep artistic game with alot of depth. Its probably the best 3d platformer for the year. Its pathetic THQ is not advertising more and that Nintendo fans are not buying it. Message | Report |

I think price had a lot to do with this one. I think it would have been more reasonably priced at $40 and thus wouldn't be overshadowed by the release of Lego Batman this week. However I'm hoping this will have a decent amount of legs and be able to go at least gold but this is very very doubtful. Looking like 300k tops right now.
