I think the PSP release was more SEGA wanting to get a sequel out ASAP. With the anime having finished showing just a few months ago, there would be too big a gap to produce a full PS3 sequel (18 to 24 months). The PSP, combined with anime cutscenes meant much faster dev times. I think SEGA wanted to maintain momentum with the franchise. Message | Report |

@Ratix well if they planned to offer cheap deals to gain more sales, they really shouldnt have *greenlighted* VC2 for PSP. and even without the deals, it still would have sold more on PS3. The PSP just has way too many pirates for this game or any game to sell well. (ex. Chinatown wars) Message | Report |

Yep, it's sad that people in Europe don't buy games that's only in english. It's a fact that almost have ruined the JRPG market (and other more niche markets) in Europe. English is a world language, learn it god dammit! You won't forget your native language... Message | Report |

Actually translations could be also one of the big reasons why this didn't sell more in Europe. I personally find it sad that some people (who understand english fine) don't play game if it is not in their own language. It is kinda silly. Message | Report |

Translations to other languages cost them money. Unless translating to other languages will result in a huge difference in sales (which I doubt would be big enough), then sadly they just don't care. Message | Report |

WTF with Europe? The sales are terrible. Atleast in NA VC is constantly selling 4-5k per week. VC definitely will be a million seller, since sales of the game increase as PS3 HW sales increase. Message | Report |

@Ratix240sx two things wrong with your statement. 1st it sold 550K not 500K, big enough difference and 2nd if it sold so horribly how on earth is it getting a sequel if Sega lose so much money making this? And plus even if it wasn't the most profitable game ever it also paved the way for the amine as the game was basically just free advertisement for it and a good way to get fans of the game to watch the show as well, meaning more episodes will be made and more merchandise as well.
