Sales are not really that bad, if you think about it they put 2 games almos together, 007 & BOPs... They are about 1.6 mill combine, and thats not a bad figure, this will probably keep selling after 007 drops... Message | Report |

i have no doubt this will reach a million, but it's a shame it's just not going faster. I have actually seen posters and large boxes in gamestops and best buys now JUST for the Wii version, it seems a bit late so they missed hyping it up but still. Message | Report |

This is such an awesome game. I've played the 360 version on my nephew's console and although it looks terrific, I just can't get back to using the sticks to control FPS games. I just love the Wii controls. I can't live with out that any more. This game just kicks arse completely. Didn't get Goldeneye for Christmas so I guess I'll have to buy it myself soon but till then, I'm totally happy with Black Ops. So much fun online. Message | Report |

I dont think GE has much to do with this. HD guys with Wii simply are buying the HD version of Black Ops and Im sure there are more multconsole owners than there are core gamers with just a Wii Message | Report |

I had the 1st generation Wii and has no problem. Well it did freeze once while playing Deadly Creatures but that's the only time in the 4+ years I've had the system. Shouldn't be a problem as the Wii is built like the old Toyota and Lexus; just dependable. I upgraded to the X360S just so that I could avoid the reliability issues of the 1st gen 360; but Wii has no issues like that. Message | Report |

I am using a Wii with the older Hardware as well and i played Waw to Prestige 5, MW Reflex to Prestige 1 und i reached Prestige 3 in BO. 2 Years Ago, i had freezing Problems in WaW and i bought the lense cleaning set. After using it, my Wii worked fine again. I Think the main Problem is that the Wii Drive Lense is getting dirty after some time and if you dont clean it, Games that use a game Engine with much streaming technology, The Laser may be overheating. Get the Lense cleaning set and use it every 3 months. Other games like SH: Shattered Memories use hardcore streaming on the Wii as well, its not just the CoD Games. Message | Report |

I have a launch Wii and have never had a single issue with this game on my Wii, there is definitely another factor to someone's wii just breaking. I treat my system well and it's always in a spot with good ventilation, no problems. You cannot blame a broken system on this game. Message | Report |

Black Ops also can cause you Wii to break. That causes it to lose major points in my eyes. GE was designed for the system. It simply runs better as a result. BO has more features but that means nothing if the experience isn't without issues. Message | Report |

Look, the single player of Goldeneye is better than Black Ops, but don't start saying Goldeneye is a better package, that is just nonsense. Black Ops has a much better online system, chat and co-op. The issue isn't the controls Drake, it's the fact that this is very much a teen-twenty something male game and the Wii is the most balanced in its demographic. Lads like bells and whistles and make funny noises when you tell them you play it on Wii. This will make it to a good million and Goldeneye somewhere near 2 million. Message | Report |

I think there is just more exposure of FPS's to HD gamers then to the Wii audience. In general there is always less exposure, less marketing, and less attention to Wi versions of these games. They don't have nearly as much of a chance of reaching actual sales potential. Alot of people believe Black Ops simply never came out on Wii, those are the ones who read magazines like Gameinformer (which leaves out Wii versions of just about every multiplafprm game), ask gamestop employees, walk into best buy where you have a wall of Black Ops for PS3/360 with no Wii version mentioned, or look at most promotional material. Clearly they just don't want to market it to Wii gamers even though it shows potential in that market, they don't care. This is showing some good legs though and will reach 1M+ for sure, but it could be alot better if more of the Wii audience knew about FPS games and given the chance. No demos, nothing on the Nintendo channel, no "beta versions" of any kind, nothing to expose more people then those who already know about it. Message | Report |

as for advertisment, I think the reason they dont advertise is because they know the game will sell 1mil no matter what, why spend the money on ads if your gonna get the same results anyway. its not like the people who need to see commercials would buy this game for Wii anyway. COD:BO starts better than ModernWarfare Reflex (in Americasans EMEAA), and Reflex is over 1,2 milion copies right now, so I guess this game reach the 1 million mark again, like every single Call of Duty launched for the Wii. @ Triadfish this leaves out the whole of continental Europe where the game was delayed by 10 days. Also, as I stated the earlier, the numbers are fishy because the Americas sales figures were actually lower than the preorder sales figures of the game for the region. CoD 3,4 and 5 had only 50-60k first week sales on the Wii and they all reached more than 1 Million lifetime sales, so the 85k first week sales of CoD7 without germany are really good. This could become the best selling CoD on Wii. Message | Report |

The german Version isnt included and Germany is a strong market for Wii Shooters. The other CoD Games for Wii didnt sell better in the first week. This one will easyly reach 1 Mio+ Sales with dtrong legs as CoD 3,4 and 5 on the Wii. Message | Report |

Bizarre numbers there. according to VGChartz own preorder charts this game had 71k preorders, yet first week sales were less than that? curl-6, This game is not a port. This game is built from the ground up by a separate dedicated team at Treyarch. Just because its separate doesn't mean its a spinoff from the main game, the game has the same story, missions, co-op, and online as the other consoles but just developed to take better use of Wii's features. Think I pretty much retired this game after around 400 hours of play. Looks like I'll end up in the top 150 for HCHQ. I am pretty sure I am in th top 150 or 200 for regular HC mode all time also. HCHQ is obviously the best option to play since regular mode is for pussies. Message | Report |

@oniyide: The next entry will cut the momentum of this one, yes, but not completely; MWR and W@Wii sold a bit more after their successors came out. It should also be noted that unlike previous Wii COD games, this one had to compete against Goldeneye 007; a well made FPS released on the same system at the same time. Message | Report |
