Just within a couple of thousand too. And there will likely be times where both switch around for the slight lead over the other. Right now the PS3 is ahead world wide by a couple of thousand. Even so, they are both selling at the same rate...this is a good game and was advertised well. Even with the PS3's smaller install base, it's selling just as much as the 360 version. 	Lone_Canis_Lupus posted 02/03/2008, 07:41 @jptolife I'm not going to say 360 load times are slower just because mike did, and I'm not going to even say how much slower the 360 version is compared to the PS3 version (because I don't have a 360), all I know is the PS3 version has load times that ARE faster. Capcom has even confirmed this themselves. That's a main reason for the PS3 install. There are VERY fast load times on the PS3 version. I go through a door and before I can even blink, the "Now loading..." screen is gone and everything is loaded. How much faster it is than the 360, I don't know...but I'd be willing to bet it's at least 2 or 3 seconds slower because of the fact the 360 only uses DVD9. HD gaming of course takes up more space because of the bigger files. A DVD is starting to become really easy to take up space now. Look at Lost Odeysee. I'm sure Capcom had to do some compressing on the 360 version, and with compression more time is needed to unpack the data for loading. They could have done very little compression to where the loading difference between the two isn't that much, or a lot to where there is like a 5+ second difference. I don't have a 360, so I don't know if you can install the game onto the hard drive or not. But I do know it's not required because of the Core 360. HD installation can't be required. So without HD installation, the PS3 version has the edge over the 360 one. Message \| Report

I play Bioshock, Gears of War on PC for the better graphics. I'm a little disappointed they announced today Mass Effect is coming to PC in May with better graphics, im regretting my purchase. I rented DMC4 for Xbox 360, been on the wait list from Gamefly. I usually rent games im on the fence till I judge if its purchase worthy. I really started getting pissed off about the load screen every time you have to walk through a door. Once I found out about the 2 sec. load time on PS3, it was a nobrainer if you have played the 360 version. On the PS3 the game play doesn't feel as interrupted when walking through doors, you walk from one room to another snap your finger twice and your there. On the 360 I started getting pissed off when I had to back track because I missed something in the previous room, that load screen between rooms can start pissing you off when you have to run around to solve the damn puzzles. Do you have DMC4 for 360? It takes about 5-8 sec. walking through the door. you can say 5 sec. optimistically, but realistically majority of the times it takes 8 sec. (it seems usually 5 sec. when going into a small room which is rare, and 8 sec. when going into the larger areas like the cathedral or open space which is way more frequent) Loading the level takes 10 seconds. On the PS3 walking through the door takes mere 2 seconds, and that is all the difference in the world. If you have never played Devil May Cry you are being ignorant if you say: "so what if you have to wait 8-10 sec everytime you walk through the door?" In DMC you walk through lots and lots of doors, you even have to back track alot, meaning you have to rewalk through the same doors and back and forth. that 2 sec. load time on PS3 is heaven sent, I really don't understand how someone can play the game the way it is on Xbox 360, amazes me. 	BMaker11 posted 09/02/2008, 01:50 I don't know if I should use this as assumption, but when I bought this game, first day, there were more preorders for it on PS3, and the 5 remaining extra copies of the PS3 version sold out, whereas there weren't very many 360 preorders, which translates to none of the extra 5 being sold. I just find this intruiging, because I live on a college campus, where 360's are supposed to reign dominant (you know, crazy Halo or Madden parties, all that socialness with Xbox Live).....but the PS3 version did so much better at my Gamestop. Capcom understands a game is not defined by the geographical origin of the developers, its the skill set of the developers that matters. And thats why Ninja Theory was chosen above a Japanese studio. Capcom has even confirmed this themselves. That's a main reason for the PS3 install. There are VERY fast load times on the PS3 version. I go through a door and before I can even blink, the "Now loading..." screen is gone and everything is loaded. How much faster it is than the 360, I don't know...but I'd be willing to bet it's at least 2 or 3 seconds slower because of the fact the 360 only uses DVD9. HD gaming of course takes up more space because of the bigger files. A DVD is starting to become really easy to take up space now. Look at Lost Odeysee. I'm sure Capcom had to do some compressing on the 360 version, and with compression more time is needed to unpack the data for loading. They could have done very little compression to where the loading difference between the two isn't that much, or a lot to where there is like a 5+ second difference. I don't have a 360, so I don't know if you can install the game onto the hard drive or not. But I do know it's not required because of the Core 360. HD installation can't be required. So without HD installation, the PS3 version has the edge over the 360 one. Message \| Report

I play Bioshock, Gears of War on PC for the better graphics. I'm a little disappointed they announced today Mass Effect is coming to PC in May with better graphics, im regretting my purchase. I rented DMC4 for Xbox 360, been on the wait list from Gamefly. I usually rent games im on the fence till I judge if its purchase worthy. I really started getting pissed off about the load screen every time you have to walk through a door. Once I found out about the 2 sec. load time on PS3, it was a nobrainer if you have played the 360 version. On the PS3 the game play doesn't feel as interrupted when walking through doors, you walk from one room to another snap your finger twice and your there. On the 360 I started getting pissed off when I had to back track because I missed something in the previous room, that load screen between rooms can start pissing you off when you have to run around to solve the damn puzzles. Do you have DMC4 for 360? It takes about 5-8 sec. walking through the door. you can say 5 sec. optimistically, but realistically majority of the times it takes 8 sec. (it seems usually 5 sec. when going into a small room which is rare, and 8 sec. when going into the larger areas like the cathedral or open space which is way more frequent) Loading the level takes 10 seconds. Reminded me of Oblivion on 360 walk 10 feet and 3 sec. load screen, and walk another 10 feet another 3 sec. load screen. On the PS3 walking through the door takes mere 2 seconds, and that is all the difference in the world. If you have never played Devil May Cry you are being ignorant if you say: "so what if you have to wait 8-10 sec everytime you walk through the door?" In DMC you walk through lots and lots of doors, you even have to back track alot, meaning you have to rewalk through the same doors and back and forth. that 2 sec. load time on PS3 is heaven sent, I really don't understand how someone can play the game the way it is on Xbox 360, amazes me. 	BMaker11 posted 09/02/2008, 01:50 I don't know if I should use this as assumption, but when I bought this game, first day, there were more preorders for it on PS3, and the 5 remaining extra copies of the PS3 version sold out, whereas there weren't very many 360 preorders, which translates to none of the extra 5 being sold. I just find this intruiging, because I live on a college campus, where 360's are supposed to reign dominant (you know, crazy Halo or Madden parties, all that socialness with Xbox Live).....but the PS3 version did so much better at my Gamestop. Hopefully the trend continues at other game retailers Message \| Report

Its like Twilight with Nero the emo and Kyrie the Twilight girl. Not to mention Hideki Kamiya has rebuked the camp homo as Dante. Which is true, DMC1 is the true Dante, not Donte the camp homo. Capcom understands a game is not defined by the geographical origin of the developers, its the skill set of the developers that matters. And thats why Ninja Theory was chosen above a Japanese studio. And Japanese gamers/ or American gamers who want to be Japanese can be as xenophobic as they want. It dosent change the poor quality of DMC4, FF13, RE5, or many Japanese games this gen (of course their have been some excellent games). Message \| Report
