What you on?! 482k opening on xbox 360 vs 230k on xb1. You can't even claim a lower install base because this is microsofts big 1) holiday exclusive, 2) third party software sales (fallout for example) have had openers huger than their previous gen counter parts with lower install bases.

Plus, in my opinion, it's only fair if we include ps3 numbers because it shows potential week 1 market. PS3 TR wk 1 is about 650k...
So TR 2013 sold 1 million+ wk1.
ROTTR 230,000 WK1. Not good at all

I don't think this is the end of MS buying exclusives. But MS and publishers need to consider better release windows.

I hope this holiday numbers look better. The last Tomb Raider had great legs.

Wow. These sales are sad. This game is great and it's bombing in sales. The time exclusivity and launching the same day as Fallout 4 is really hurting the game.

These numbers are kinda disastrous. Just bring it to PS platforms and save Lara from this flopping pain.

The game is good, but they need to give this franchise a brake for a few years. Crystal Dynamics is a very good studio, they should now create a new IP for this generation and a third TR on a PayStation 5/Xbox 4.

It sold well in the UK, the Xbox One is at 50k which likely surpassed Tomb Raider DE lifetime sales. Also the 360 version of Tomb Raider made 104K first week but that was with an install base of 8 million, so this game isn't a "complete flop".

complete flop so far and they deserve it. launched exclusively on the less popular console and on the same day as Fallout 4. Have Fun Microsoft & Square Enix.

Shouldn't Microsoft Game Studios be the publisher of this game?

Ok. Well if Square Enix was apparently not satisfied with the sales from the exclusivity association with MS, why did they partner again with MS for Shadow of the Tomb Raider marketing?

@Replicant by the looks of it, based on shadow of the tomb raider sales, the series taken a lot of damage.

@hiccupthehuman - Call it what you want. Darrell Gallagher was "let go".

@Replicant From where do you pull the info that he was fired? Cause from the Square Enix CEO Phil Rogers it's pretty clear he left on his own and was not fired. "I am sad to see him go but respect HIS decision and we should all celebrate the sheer blood, sweat and tears he has put into our company over the last 10 years!" Seems like you're making things up.

@Mr Puggsly - Darrell Gallagher from Crystal Dynamics made the deal with Microsoft, got fired by Square Enix, and now has a highly paid position at Microsoft as the studio head at "The Initiative". Talk about under-the-table agreement. :/
