Capcom answers the heartfelt wishes of hardcore gamers worldwide with the release of Strider 2 for the PlayStation. Strider Hiryu returns in this 2D side-scrolling action game, featuring the original game's tight gameplay and modern polygonal backgrounds. Jump and slash through five expansive levels, each with multiple boss encounters. While the game may seem a bit short because there are only five levels to complete, there are incentives to replay the game many times over--such as a secret playable character to unlock. On top of all that, Capcom has given Strider new moves for his new adventure, including backward somersaults, double jumps, air slashes, and slides. Upon the completion of each level you are awarded a grade based on how skillfully you progress through it. Also included is a pixel-perfect port of the classic Strider arcade game that withstands the test of time due to its impressive parallax scrolling, excellent level design, and smooth control.

In Strider 2, the player takes control of modern-day ninja named Strider Hiryu who wields a deadly plasma-ejecting cypher named the Falchion, completing missions assigned to you. There are four starting selectable missions and a fifth is unlocked by completing them. Defeating the fifth mission unlocks the final boss mission where Hiryu will have to face off with powerful bosses which includes the rogue Strider Hien, Grandmaster Meio and a bioweapon named Caduceus. By completing all the missions, the player will unlock Strider Hien, who wields two ranged cyphers, as a playable chraracter. Message | Report |
