Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2010 (Wii) > Opinions (34)

oniyide posted 09/12/2010, 04:46
and people wonder why Activision doesnt throw its hat into the "core" Wii games, why do that when you can recycle this game year after year???

I think the sales of this game shows Nintendo really missed an opportunity for a new Duck Hunt, I'm talking a fully fleshed out one. That mini game in Wii Play doesn't count :P

Out of all the games, this is one I would've never expected to reach a million. Is it really that good or are there that many people who like hunting on Wii?

A million seller is good for the industry and it could be worst. There could have been 'Deliverance' hidden in the game.

I like to see Wii games make 1 million but I can't agree with shooting animals for fun in real life.

The Wii REALLY has tapped into new markets. This, to be culturally sensative I'll call this a 'Rural', game seems on pace to do equal or surpass even the MW port on the Wii.

Not surprised myself. Anybody remember the big sucess of Deer Hunter on PC back when PC gaming still had some life in it? It was so popular it got a parody made about it where you play as the deer and hunt man.

Activision clearly learned from EA's Nerf game last holiday season. What do kids like more than videogames? GUNS! So give'em both and watch it fly off the shelves!

I am guessing a lack of a steady flow core games being the reason that this sold so well ( and the gun peripheral also helped). This is the highest I have ever seen a cabela game sell.
