Of course this game sold more than this number; At least 40% of the total sales for TW2 are from digital (mainly Steam and GOG) Message | Report |

There is no way this game has only sold 0.53m units. If that is just representing the retail number than it seems correct. This game has been towards the top of Steam's top sellers list since it came out. Message | Report |

The GDP per capita in these countries is also much lower , maybe 3-4 times than in USA or West Europe . And the number of PC in the houses ... also several times less than in US. In 2006 were only 11 millons.... . And in 2007 only were 20 millons of internet conexions in Rusia . Less than in a state like California ... . And TW sold in this orden of number of sales .. With digital sales are going to win many times more than retail sales. Maybe earn 10 times more per copy than retail sales in the West. And I doubt that the game sold more in the West than in Russia and Poland, at least TW sold more than in the rest of the world . Only in Russia TW sold 500.000 copies - that are not in any data in Vgchart ;) . Probably the numbers of the sales in the Eastern Europe are bigger than these numbers of Vgchart Message | Report |

JohnnyB: It's not that much of a big budget game. It's reported to be at around 8 million dollars, which compared to some other recent AAA titles that easily hover around 25-30 million range it's quite a difference. 1 million sold copies will easily return the costs and make profit. @JohnnyB digital sales are at least double this, if not more. Unless you want the collectors edition any fan of CDP would have bought it on GOG to make them the most $$. Probably 100k on that site alone, just look at how much better it has sold than other week 1 PC games, all thanks to digital sales. Message | Report |

The first week opening should be at least 350,000 (including digital sales) and considering CD project owns GOG so they can get all the money from there by selling TW 2 and 2 million is possible because good PC games such as witcher 2 always has insane legs in the long run ( The witcher 1 sold 1.5 million copies; Stalker sold 2 million copies and original Crysis sold 3 million copies) Message | Report |

This is big budget game, and made by company which are at stock market worth 300 mln $. Over 100 people have worked on it over 3,5 years. Considering costs sales is medicore. Must be one million copies to revenue costs. and another million to earn something. Message | Report |
